Ingredients

Fresh Citrus
Fresh citrus makes the biggest difference in flavor. If fresh fruit isn’t available, bottled juice can be used, but fresh-squeezed yields the best brightness.
Expect each lime to yield about 2 tablespoons of juice; an orange typically yields 4–5 tablespoons.

Liquid Cane Sugar
Liquid cane sugar such as “Sugar in the Raw” prevents graininess in the drink and helps create the margarita’s warm, golden color. If you can’t find liquid cane sugar, you can substitute honey, light corn syrup, or a clear simple syrup.
To make a simple syrup: heat equal parts sugar and water, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Cool and refrigerate any leftover syrup.

Rose’s Sweetened Lime Juice
Rose’s Sweetened Lime Juice adds concentrated lime flavor and sweetness. It’s often found in the cocktail mixer aisle. If unavailable, make a lime cordial or sweetened lime juice ahead of time.
