I love sharing simple recipes that deliver big flavor, and these Cheesy Garlic Breadsticks are exactly that. Imagine chewy, slightly crispy bread soaked with olive oil, bright with garlic and parsley, seasoned with Italian herbs, and absolutely loaded with melted mozzarella that browns and gets delightfully stringy. It’s a crowd-pleasing combination that’s easy to make at home.

The best part is how flexible the dough can be. I often use my No-Knead Whole-Wheat Semolina Pizza Dough, but you can use any pizza dough you prefer — homemade or store-bought. If you have a favorite pizza dough recipe, it will work just fine. Even a ball of dough from a local pizzeria will do the trick.

Use a generous amount of shredded part-skim mozzarella — inexpensive supermarket varieties work well. The cheese should be plentiful so it melts, bubbles, browns and crisps in places. The result is irresistibly gooey and toasty breadsticks.

These breadsticks are simple to assemble and bake. Olive oil on the pan and dough provides a crisp, golden bottom and a tender interior. Garlic, parsley (fresh or dried), and Italian seasoning give bright, familiar flavors. A generous layer of mozzarella finishes the top so the cheese puffs, browns and becomes delectably stringy.

One batch of no-knead dough can provide multiple rounds of breadsticks, pizzas, or other snacks, and it stores well in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or can be portioned and frozen for later. That makes this an easy go-to for game nights, casual dinners, or when you want a flavorful snack without fuss.

These breadsticks are a favorite at my house alongside soft pretzels and little sausages. They’re kid-friendly, shareable, and transportable — enjoy them warm, at room temperature, plain, or with your favorite dip.

Making your own dough is economical and convenient. A large container for no-knead dough is inexpensive and can hold enough dough to make multiple batches of breadsticks. Dough can be refrigerated for up to 14 days or portioned and frozen for later use, giving you ready-made dough for several gatherings or meals.

These Cheesy Garlic Breadsticks are a simple, satisfying recipe that’s easy to adapt and perfect for sharing. Enjoy making them at home and feel free to experiment with different herbs, cheeses, or dipping sauces to suit your taste.
