Mixed Berry Trifles Recipe: Individual Layered Desserts

Continuing with our 4th of July theme, I recently made the kids individual berry trifles.
I mentioned on Facebook that I had a successful trip to the local farmers market and picked up some beautiful berries.
We’ve been enjoying berries with everything, so I decided to make individual trifles to see if the kids would like them — which they absolutely did.
They especially loved the little star on top.
The best part? These trifles were made with very simple ingredients.
Some recipes call for pudding, but since we’re not fans I skipped it. Pound cake is fun and easy to work with — I used the leftover cake to cut mini stars with a cookie cutter and the shapes held up really well. I might be planning another berry treat using those stars.
Do you have a favorite trifle recipe? I’d love to try different variations, with or without berries.
