The blend of Key Lime Cream Rum, pineapple juice, and lime Jell-O creates an elevated yet simple party treat that’s creamy, bright, and crowd-pleasing.

What is a jello shot?

A jello shot is simply flavored gelatin mixed with alcohol and served in a small cup to enjoy as a shot.

Why these will be your favorite:

  • We use fruit juice instead of plain water for better flavor.
  • More flavored liquor for a bolder, creamier taste.
  • Playful and delicious flavor combinations.
  • Toppings—like Lucky Charms marshmallows and green sprinkles—finish them off perfectly.
  • Serve alongside other festive options for variety.

How to make Key Lime Lucky Charms Jello Shots

Start by chilling the Key Lime Rum Cream in the freezer; very cold liquor helps the gelatin set properly.

ingredients for Key Lime Lucky Charms Jello Shots

Microwave equal parts pineapple juice and water until they begin to boil. Whisk in the lime Jell-O until fully dissolved, then stir in the chilled rum.

Pour the mixture into twenty-eight 2-ounce portion cups, filling each about three-quarters full. Chill for 30–45 minutes before adding one Lucky Charms marshmallow on top and a light dusting of green sprinkles.

Tips for the best jello shots

  • Use very hot liquid to dissolve the Jell-O completely.
  • Use very cold liquor to help the gelatin set.
  • Avoid freezing jello shots; freezing can change the texture and flavor.
  • Make them up to two days in advance and keep covered in the refrigerator.

How to take a jello shot

Loosen the jello from the cup with a fingertip, tip it into your mouth, and chew to enjoy the full flavor before swallowing. Cheers!
